Today, on 12.10.2009 was signed The Memorandum of Understanding between the National Tourism Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The memorandum is an expression of will to promote one of the most important priorities of the country's development, such as the tourism.

Below is the speech of the National Director of Tourism, Mrs Nada Kallçiu.

Dear participants,
The Signing of this Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Tourism Agency, aims the promotion of Albanian tourism through diplomatic representations of the Republic of Albania, therefore attracting more tourists to Albania for the creation of a more sustainable tourism industry.
National Tourism Agency, has worked intensively on the creation and the publication of many promotional brochures whose character is in accordance with the standards, requirements and trends of the international tourist market.
The Signing of the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions is an expression of common will but also the obligation we have regarding the promotion of one of the most important priorities of the country's development such as the tourism.
The fact that Albania tourism has been an increase by 42.5% more than in 2008 and 2.6 times more than in 2005, and the total number of visitors has the figure of 2,111,981 for the period January - August 2009, is an indicative of the serious efforts.

I take this opportunity to thank you once again, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support and the serious work she is doing in the field of tourism internationally and I am sure that we will be successful in our common purpose.
