Statistics for period January - June for foreign visitors who enter Albania speak for an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year.
Number of General visitors in Albania period January-June 2009 is about 951,495 people.
- Foreign visitors are 522,197 from whom 13384 are daily guests
(hiking) while 508813 are night guests (tourists)
-Visitors with Albanian citizenship who are residents in different countries are about 429,298 people.

According to travel purpose for period January to April report in% is 82% Holiday, 5% business, 3% guests daily and 10% others.
For this period largest number of tourists is Europeans 92%, than American, Asian and other respectively 5%, 2% and 1%.

These data show a clear increase in Albanian tourism.
