The National Tourism Agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in support of the initiative of the Albanian Embassy in Tokyo organized a tour for a group of Japanese tourist operators from 30 May - 1 June.
The operators will conduct an informative tour in Albania, Serbia and Macedonia in order to evidence and promote tourism products, which will be presented at the Tourism Fair, which takes place every year in Tokyo in September. The scope of the event is to introduce new destinations to the Japanese and Asian tourism market.
Albania, Serbia and Macedonia have confirmed through their respective National Tourism Agencies, the hosting and organizing of this informative tour.
On May 30 the Japanese operators will attend a meeting session in the premises of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports in order to exchange experiences with specialists of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports, specialists of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specialists of the National Tourism Agency and representatives of associations and private business entities in Albania
Main topics to be discussed in the meeting:
• Potential tourism products presented by the representatives of the Albanian National Tourism Agency.
• Presentation of the dimensions of the Albanian tourism industry by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports.
• ATA's role in the development of tourism in the country, by the representative of the Albanian Association of Tourism.
• Albanian priorities in the context of regional tourism, as an advantage for Japanese tour operators by the representative of the Union of Albanian tourist operators.
This informative tour includes visits to three archeological sites (Berat, Butrint and Gjirokastra), part of World Heritage UNESCO list.
