The Zoo was also opened in 1971. It is situated near the Botanic Garden, at the end of the artificial lake's dam, called the mall "Lasgush Poradeci.
This garden has an area of 5.97 hectares, out of which 4.35 hectares is green, 1.3 hectares is water surface composed of small water basins, 1.8 hectares is occupied by streets and small squares and 0.14 hectares of surface construction is intended for animals and birds. Now, after 90 years, there has been a significant reduction of wild animals, and the zoo is being frequented more and more for its parks and green spaces. Last year was also raised an information center regarding nature protection.
