Albania's surface area of 28,748 km2 (11,100 square miles). It is situated in the Balkan Peninsula, in southeastern Europe, and shares borders with Greece, the Former Yugoslav Republics of Macedonia and Montenegro and Kosovo.

Culture and History
Territories of today's Albania have been populated before 100,000 years. At the beginning of the third millennium before Christ, was established population Indo - European. As a result of this blend was created a population that retained the characteristics of specific cultural and language in the Balkan peninsula (pellazgët).
Coastline
The best alternative suitable for kids and family vacations are the beaches found in the Adriatic sea . Those are Velipoja, Durresi , Golemi, Divjaka, and Plazhi I Ri in Vlora. In the other hand the Ionian coast is known for its small intime beaches and it is highly frequented by young generation. These beaches offers great possibilities for several water activities such as diving, sailing
Mountain Tourism
Mountains are widely spread in the territory of Albania. The most important ones for the tourism are Dajti (Tirana District) Loogara ( Vlora district) Dardha and Bozdovec ( Korca district) , Valbona ( Tropoja district) , Thethi ( Malesia e madhe district). They offers a myriad of opportunities for different activitites as hiking, mounting, trekking, skiing, mount biking , caving etc .
